A place where life is beautiful.

Imagine yourself on a deserted pink sand beach, with turquoise waters lapping at your toes. Welcome to the Bahamas, welcome to Eleuthera, welcome to the Potlatch Club.

Founded in 1967 as an exclusive escape for eclectic society, the Potlatch Club offers privacy, simple elegance, space to unwind and warm Bahamian hospitality. This is a place where you really don’t have to ‘do’ anything, it’s a place where you can just ‘be’.

Now, with our restaurant, bars and accommodation open in our ‘soft opening’ period, join us at the Potlatch Club, where, once again, life is beautiful.

the rebirth of a
bahamian legend

When Bruce Loshusan and Hans Febles stumbled upon The Potlatch Club on a beach walk in 2016, not only did they discover a hidden gem, they uncovered a legendary past. Having fallen into disrepair in the Eighties, the jungle had reclaimed the resort, but Bruce and Hans saw its beauty and soon bought the 12 acre property, bordering a powder-soft pink sand beach and its crystal clear ocean. The story of The Potlatch Club then emerged, founded in 1967 by three East Coast socialites who brought royalty, celebrities, movie stars and musicians to these shores on Eleuthera. Paul McCartney honeymooned here with Linda in 1969 and others will now follow in the next chapter of the Potlatch story.

welcome to eleuthera

You will find Eleuthera a short 20-minute flight from Nassau in the Bahamas, with daily flights to Governor’s Harbour (a 15 minute drive, from the resort) or North Eleuthera or Rock Sound (both about an hour’s drive away). From April, American will launch twice weekly direct flights to Governor’s Harbour from Miami.

Eleuthera is a delightfully relaxed and friendly island. It is long and thin with coral reefed Atlantic beaches on one side and calm Caribbean beaches on the other, ideal for water sports and boat trips to swim with turtles and stingrays and snorkel with angel fish.
